An update

I love photography...
One moment I'm receiving a call to photograph Fortune 500 executives and the next moment I'm photographing babies and dogs. Each day is different and allows me so many opportunities to be creative with a camera.
I had such a great time this week photographing for a new client in North Carolina. A large advertising firm contacted me and allowed me the chance to do my thing....and it was a blast!

Here are a few samples from the latest clients.... Hope to work with YOU soon.

BABIES, PUPPIES AND VEGGIES...

I'VE BEEN OFF the blogging map for too long and it's time for an update. The last several months have been very busy with an increasing list of clients and healthy changes. My commercial and advertising photography company has been growing and I've had the pleasure of photographing images for such clients as "Trust Company of the South" / "Savvy Spaces" / "Cognition" / "Bella Tunno" / "Peak 10" and several other companies in the Carolina's and beyond.

Volunteer photo work is something I love to be involved with and I've been working with several organizations including two that are close to my heart. The American Pit Bull Foundation is a wonderful organization based in Charlotte NC working to educate the public on "Bully Breeds"as well as find homes for wonderful dogs and fight breed specific laws. I have been doing the photography for a new book for the group as well. Their website is: www.americanpitbullfoundation.com .
Silent Images is another wonderful group in Charlotte that I have been working with to spotlight individuals that make a difference  in the community. You can find out more about this project at their website: www.mysilenthero.org.

One thing that I do often is "Baby-Tography".... I am often asked to photograph "soon-to-be-mom's" newborn babies, infants and families. I will include a few new baby pics from a recent shoot on this blog for you to check out.

NOW..Let's talk another passion of mine...... FOOD !!!!! I LOVE GREAT FOOD !!
The last month has brought MAJOR changes in the area of food in our home. For the past 5 years my wife and I have been vegetarians... but I made up for not eating meat by eating extra cheese! OH how I wish I could go back and change that now. As of 3 weeks ago today we have gone totally VEGAN.
Plant-based foods such as vegetables, beans, greens, fruits and no oils. Let me just say... I have NEVER felt better and this is how I plan to eat from this day forward. If you have not seen the documentary "FORKS OVER KNIVES"...You MUST watch it !!! Free on Netflix.

Now back to PHOTOGRAPHY

A walk in Freedom Park...

ABOUT A WEEK AGO I was asked to photograph a good friend of mine and her boyfriend at Freedom Park here in Charlotte NC. As we walked around looking for nice locations to grab a few pics, I was reminded of the first time I walked in a park with my wife.

Most of our friends know the story of how we met and how fast we got married.
We met on Dec. 14th 2002 and got married 5 WEEKS later. Even more shocking to some people is that I was out of town on a business trip for 2 of those 5 weeks....go figure. Here we are 8 1/2 years later and we're more in love than ever before!! The foundation of our life together is our shared faith in a loving and gracious God and it's by His strength alone that we've grown stronger over the years.

I'm not anywhere near the kind of husband I hope to be at the end of this journey! In fact..
I'm immature, goofy, lacking wisdom on a regular basis, insecure and a bit lazy.. but I pray daily that God continues to teach, shape, guide and grow me to be the kind of man I truly want to be for my wife. I've got a long way to go but I pray that I'm walkin' in that direction :)

So what does this have to do with photographing a couple of friends in Freedom Park??
Well.. It made me realize once again that time moves WAY TOO FAST and while looking through my camera lens I took a brief trip down memory lane and was transported back to December 14th 2002. New Love ...and that nervous feeling you get that feels OH SO GREAT. Thank you Ashley and Jon for a great day at the park and the trip down memory lane.....

I truly love shooting weddings! I gotta be honest...I never thought I would. There really is something special about capturing so many special moments in one day between two people. Gillian and Nathan made this so easy and everyone involved was a pleasure to work with throughout the day.
